Start | Settings | Control Panel | Mouse | Pointers Tab
You can choose different themes which have different pointers.

Click control panel in xp click printers and other hardware then mouse, then click pointers and under customize click browse and a list of pointers displays. Select the one you want, and when you do it will ask you for a name of the scheme at the top just type one in and apply. all this is assuming you want a new cursor
