Caesar is my favorite, but I also like making my own vinagrette. Here is my recipe:
Vinegar either red wine or balsamic
Olive Oil (not extra virgin that's nasty stuff)
1 Clove of garlic
Black Pepper
If it's too tart you can tone it down with some water
A pinch of...
Basil
Parsley
Oregano
and 4 Seasons Italian mix.
The garlic will turn green after a while, it's the acid in the vinegar, so don't worry.

My Aunt makes her own salad dressing it was passed down to her from her mother inlaw. It's like an italian but thicker and healthier for you. Its crisp and light. I love it.
Also I love only Hidden Valley Ranch. There is no substitutes.
