Is " The diary of Anne Frank " a fake historical story or just edited by otto ?

wondering if the diary of Anne Frank, the historical story, is alll fake ,,?? or
is it made up by his father, otto ?!
or just otto edited some of it ?!
please ... its for hw >3<

It's very much true, however, her father Otto edited the parts where Anne spoke of her mother. He did not want their family business getting out. Other than that, it's all true. :D

First off, Anne frank is a girl not boy as you mentioned "is it made up by his father, otto ?!"
Second, Anne wrote in a diary, but the screenplay which you probably read was written by her dad, but it was based off her diary.
He didn't falsify things much if at all.
