America is not a war-loving nation but only wanted to be secure from terrorists and irresponsible countries wanting to become nuclear superpowers.

I don't think as a whole we are war lovers. I think there are some as are in any country. The problem is that the only thing other countries see is what the media portrays. Most people that I have spoken with support the troops but not the president. Who by the way is a moron. It saddens me to no end that we as Americans are perceived as selfish greedy war mongers. When in reality most of us are not. It also saddens me that you would have to ask such a question. Which tells me that your media is not much different then ours. No one actually sees the good things that come from this country only the bad. Hopefully, in our next election we as a country will vote for someone who is at least half way decent. Being that we can't have certain people get very far in the election process because we are limited to two parties these days, and anyone who does not fit into what the government wants is basically disqualified. Hopefully, someday this country will remember that the government was started to work for us and not for us to work for them.

Some of the people are that way, but then again half the country wants to stop war right now. We don't have a national stand because we can't agree, so it depends on the person, not the country.

No. Ask many of the people who have fought much in any of our wars, and I think you will find that they hate war. They hate the killing & the terrors of it. I bet many of them would also be willing to fight again in certain cases, too. --- We hate war, but we tend to have a grasp of the significance of certain international events, our nation's place & responsibility in the world and a "vision" that enables us to sometimes realize that doing nothing, now, may sometimes be worse for us or our children further off into the future. Caring, and a vision for the future, has gotten us into more wars than a love of war, I think.

War goes back alot longer than America. So I would say that it has been the way of the world. It's what the country is going to war for is what matters.Being a Military Police officer I can say that we as a nation are the police of the world.

all countries fight wars at some point in time for all types of reasons, america can at least say that it's reasons are just. people blame bush for the war, but he's been voted into office twice in a row, so if they wan't to ***** and complain about who's responsible for the war, they can just look in the mirror.

no...we hate them but we like fighting them...especially when they get up on white horses and order their infantry to charge at us while we are hiding behind cotton bales like those idiot Brits did at Chalmette during the battle of New Orleans...I think that score was 3000 to 14....they only got 14 of us....we like fighting those kinda wars...

No. We just got tired of being attacked. The World Trade Center was bombed in the nineties ,USS Cole was hit by a boat carrying bombs that killed American sailor's, U.S. embassy's were bombed and etc. We said enough is enough and we are going to do something about it. We decided to not wait until being attacked before we did anything and are going to do something about threats before they do unto us.
