Why would a former prostitute in Cuba be pro-Castro? What benefits would she have gained?

Any answers you get will be colored by pro- or anti- Castro sentiment (propaganda). But it is demonstrably so that the women who turned to prostitution during the pre-Castro era had far fewer economic opportunities than Cuban women now enjoy. See the link below. Keep in mind that this is pro-Castro rhetoric, to be examined in specific detail before it is accepted or rejected.

It is hard to ask a question about Cuba OR Castro and get unbiased answers. Whomever answers will have either a pro-Castro bias or an anti-Castro hatred. So I would watch the answers carefully yto this question. Just a thought.
