On 17th February ,1801 House elected Thomas Jefferson as President of United State.
His Manual of Parliamentary Practice—a magisterial guide to legislative procedure that has retained its broad utility through two centuries. He also contributed to the office his example of skillful behind-the-scenes legislative leadership, and he offered a philosophical compass on the issues of constitutionalism and individual rights.
