I coach a boys U-8 soccer team. The boys decided that they want a different name, but I am having trouble coming up with a good one. What is something unique, and tough sounding?

I am completely new to this concept, but I was thinking that since they're so young you could pick a name like one of the big clubs but indicates a smaller version. So if you want to name them after the Fire, call them the Kindling. Or you could pick the name of a young version of an animal. While Cubs is a name usually associated with baseball, it is the name of a small bear.

At the kid's age don't ask them to name it. They will come up with some wierd name after a cartoon or movie. If you do want thier opinion, present themwith your favorite two or three and let them give an opinion on those team names. I did that and they liked the name. Noone else in the our area uses the name... Diablos, yet. Good luck.

Cougars, Lightning, Magic, Strikers, Hawks , Crush, United, Equipo, Giants, Killer Bees, Knights any name will be great. Have the team nominate names and vote on it at practice. That way they have a say in the name. Who knows, you could end up "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
