You should be able to just flip the seat over or lift it up. Make sure there's not a lock preventing you from opening it. If there's not a lock, there will be a latch of some sort. Find the latch and push it as you lift the seat. If you don't have a manual, stop by a bike shop and ask someone but I think you should be able to get it open. Good luck!

If its anything like my R1 you pull the seat material back (rear) and there will be a couple bolts to loosen
