6-1=5
5/5= 1
k=1

4. -5=x/2-5
-5+5=0
0/2=0
x=0

6. -5+10b=-75
-5+-75=-80
-70/10= 7
b=-7

14. -11=1+3n
-11-1=-12
-12/3
n=-4

That's all I am doing sorry.

Oh yea to solve simply follow these two rules:

1.) Add or Subtract
2.) Multiply or Divide.

When doing these two steps remember to do the opposite, It is like undoing the equation. So what you do is if you have :

multiplication do division
division do multiplication
addition do subtraction
subtraction do addition

Example=

3n+8=17

first rule is addition or subtraction remember do the opposite

So do 17-8 which is 9.

Now plug it in 3n=9

Do the opposite which is multiply then divide you get 3

9/3 is 3.

I will explain the first one for you. I'm sure that you already have the odd answers, since they are in the back of the book. However, you may want to show your work.
2. k/5+1=6
Move the 1 to the other side of the =, doing the opposite of what it is, so subtract 1 from 6 getting 5.
k/5=5
Next move the 5 under the k to the other side, doing the opposite of it, so multiply 5 by 5 and you get 25.
So...................................................................... k=25

Good luck on the other ones. Just take them one step at a time, doing the numbers without variables first, and the variables last.

What you would first do is get everything that is not with a variable, the letter, to the other side of the equation... Like for the first one it would become k/5=5 because you subtract 1 from both sides. Then you would just multiply 5 by 5 and you would have your answer. If the number you need to move is negative then you would add to both sides.

2. k/5=5
k=25
4. x/2-5=-5
x/2=0
x=0
6. 10b=-70
b=-7
and so on
when transferring any term on the other side of the equal sign reverse it:
+ becomes -
x becomes / (divide)
and vice versa

(k/5) +1=6
(k/5)=5
5*(k/5)=5*5
K=25

well there's one...

-5=x/2 -5
+5 +5
0=x/2
x=0

-5+10b=75
+5 +5
10b=80
/10 /10
b=8

ect...
