no it doesn't leukemia starts on its own. but anemia can be a sign of leukemia "starting". but if you're just simply anemic like what your doc said then it will not turn to leukemia. there are many types of anemia, aplastic anemia is most serious because it affects the bone marrow itself but it's not necessarily leukemia.

No. Leukemia is a cancer of the lymph nodes and bone marrow. Anemia is a genetic disorder where blood doesn't clot as well as it should. They don't even have related symptoms. Obviously, whoever told you this is just dumb as hell.

no... but it causes a lot of other problems. i have been very anemic since i had my daughter..my iron level is 3 and the norm is 11 so i have asked all these questions to my doctor.
