What is the best way to do this? I heard lotion, but is that true?

For a couple bucks, you can get a repair kit from wal-mart or best buy. It will have everything you need to repair the scratch.

Dont EVER put lotion on your cd. It will funk it all up. Try breathing on it and then rub it on your shirt or there are products at the store that can clean your cd's. Hope i can help.

I always use toothpaste. Like, you put some on a wet washcloth and then, starting from the center, wipe outwards all around the CD.

If it is still readable, most media programs have an error correction mode. Rip your CD with error correction turned on, and then burn a new copy. if you need more help, email me

no,filling the tiny cracks in a cd wont make it work.it would be like placing it on your eyeglasses and trying to see better.

my friends have used vasoline and car wax before. I always made copys till my g/f got me an 80 gig ipod.

dont use lotion, get a lint free cloth and a little windex.

cd or dvd doctor works pretty good i think radioshack has it
