Turn on the radio tomorrow starting at 5:30 a.m. If your school has a delay, or is closed, they will say. DO YOUR HOMEWORK just in case!!!
If your school is closed due to snow, I'm sure your family would be eternally grateful to you if you quietly picked up a shovel and went outside to shovel snow off the sidewalk. Don't wait for them to ask you to do it!! You'll get bonus points for digging out the family car!!! Then, I'll bet if you want to go out with friends over the weekend, they will be very receptive to letting you go :)

Can you give us a clue of where are you talking about. NY, Chicago, PoDunk. What level Day care, elementart. I would say stand outside the building. If you see more people going in than coming out I would guess school is open.
