Try her on another single grain first... like oats.
After a week or two on that start introducing veggies and fruits, one at a time for 4 days each. Introduce meats and beans soon after that. Around 8 months try some finger foods... cheerios, cheese, fruit, cooked veggies, cooked pasta (orzo is nice and small)

Most baby cereal have age recommendations, for example, Heinz says "Beginner" or others may say "Stage 1" or "from 6 months". The common beginner cereals are rice cereal, oat cereal, and barely cereal. You can try giving jarred food as well, but stick to the single blended foods to begin with (peas, carrots, beans). Try not to give fruit first, because once she begins to taste and like the sweetness, she might reject other non-sweet foods like vegetables. When trying out a new food, wait 2-3 days to see if she gets any reaction from it before trying out the next food.

Well she can try some other cereals...or if you and her doctor think she is ready for baby food go for it :) Just remember stick with the same food for 3-4 days before trying a new one in case she has an allergic reaction. If you feed her 3 different new foods in a day you won't know which food is making her sick. Some experts recommend starting with veggies first so your baby doesn't get used to sweet foods..but in my experience it doesn't matter. Both my kids started with applesauce and they are both fine :) Stick with the stage 1 foods of baby food for now..and once she is eating two of those at a meal jump up to the stage 2 foods. Good luck, get out the camera!

hon you can feed the baby any other kind of cereal or fruit. Just give the baby a bit and see what she likes. She's old enough to eat pretty much any jar food. Don't do alot at once. Just one fruit and another cereal.

You need to get a good baby book, and one on the subject of feeding and introducing new foods, in general. There are many trains of thought in this area, and you need to read up and know the different philosophies before you choose what will work best for your life and your baby.

around 6 months is when my baby niece went onto other foods and she is now 1 and doing great. my sister said she started her out when she was about 4 months. Some foods would be bananas, carrots, green beans, etc. Just put them in a blender and mix them well, or just buy baby food in jars.

My mum did this with all her five kids ....it's great ...go a buy a little food grinder ...you can put anything in ...carrots, potatoes , pees ......your baby is a human just like us ...so giving her normal food is the best way to start ....grind it to a smooth creamy texture ...she will love it !!! Stay away from the jarred baby food crap ...it's really bad !
also watching her cute face when u try her with something new ,,,like peas lololollolol so adorable !

she can start veggies and fruit now. Start with green veggies, one at a time for a couple days each so that if she has a reaction you know what it's from. Then orange veggies, then fruit after that.
