At age 5 was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I replied, "a nurse". I achieved that and practiced my chosen profession for 20 years. Wouldn't have been happy in any other career.

When I was a child I wanted to be a nurse or a mommy.
I was a nurses aid for awhile, could not do that ever again! I have been a mommy for 21 years now and I seem to be very successful at it too! I have 4 kids who are all "GREAT" kids and a dog and a loving husband. I await anxiously to be a grandmother one day (not too soon). I would not have chosen another path as this one seems to fit me so well.

A waiter. Thank goodness I didn't achieve my dream.

In another life, I would be a drummer in a jazz band. Unfortunately, there is no other life but the one I'm living in right now. So, I have to make do with working an average nine-to-five job and listening to jazz music on the stereo.

A major league baseball player (for the Cubs). No, I didn't achieve my early childhood dream. I chose a different path when I got older.

I did not know. I was always frustrated & envious of people that knew what they wanted.
Can't say I achieved a dream either. On second thought, being a mom to my daughter & son was my greatest achievement & a dream come true.
Nursing only pales to motherhood.

I wanted to be a teacher or possibly a doctor. I've not achieved either of my former dreams, as I've just recently graduated high school. I plan to become a psychiatrist or possibly a neurologist.

A pediatrician... then an oceanographer.... then an actress... then a writer...

NOW, I'm a mom and a student... I used to follow the whale migration route abaord small expedition crusie ships as a steward and naturalist assistant. I act in local ensemble theatre. I write articles and am looking into my first two books. And I'm going to school to finish my PhD in order to be a Pediatric and Family Counselor.

I wanted to be a vetrinarian because I loved animals, until I saw how vets delivered cows. Then I focussed on having a career as an artist and thats what I am today.

I wanted to be Rambo, Bruce Lee or Rocky. No, I figured it was impossible the day I learned that I couldn't grow up to be a boy and that all but Bruce Lee weren't real. Then I wanted to be a vet. I didn't become that, either. Instead, I work at a hotel.
