I'm having trouble understanding the difference.

Is it still renewable if it takes a matter of millions of years?

Wait I know because me and my son just did this for his 6th grade homework. 3 Renewable sources of energy are solor, wind and water. 3 Non-renewable sources are oil, coal and natrual gas. Non-renewable sources come out of the ground. Renewable sources can be replenished in a short period of time.

A renewable potential resource would nicely be trees or somthing that can actually be regrown and nonrenewable will be fossil fuels because they take thousands and thousands of years to type therefor they wont be renewd on your lifetime so non-renewable
