Yes we know, but let me tell you what you don't know. Global Warming is only an issue at all because of the billions of dollars at stake. The destructive view of global warming is blown way out of proportion. It is nothing more than a scare tactic to get money from big companies and governments. I do believe global warming is happening, but it is a natural thing. It has more to do with the sun's activities than man. The leading "experts" were so sure that we were heading into an ice age in the 1970's. This is nothing more than alarmist BS designed to fuel a new industry. It is elitist BS. Look at all the private planes Al Gore has taken all over the world to present his drivel. He could have done the same thing via a web conference and cost a lot less in emissions. They tell you to be green, but I do not see them being green. The only thing I see is them lining their own pockets. Furthermore, MT. St. Helens released more greenhouse gases in 1 eruption than all cars combined since they were invented. I see all these people griping about CO2. Let me let you in on a little secret, NASA has had the tech for DECADES to rid an atmosphere of CO2. Ever seen Apollo 13? Why not just build huge scrubbers if in fact this is the case? Don't get me wrong, I am all for reasonable protections for the enviroment, but this global warming thing is not only unreasonable, it has little basis in actual fact. Scientists disagree about the desructiveness that may or may not occur. Furthermore, the standards in the most recent study by the so called experts were eased so that they could say they thought with most certainty that man causes this.

The basic problem is that people have relatively short lifetimes compared to the age of the earth. The earth is over 4,000,000,000 years old whereas the average person only lives 70 years. Have glaciers receded before? Of course, thousands of times. But humans have only seen it happen once. Have there been floods before? Yes, obviously, but for some reason when people see it on TV they think it is an unusual event.

If there's a drought, it's global warming. If there's a flood, it's global warming. If temperatures go up, it's global warming. If temperatures drop, it's global warming. If it snows, it's global warming. If it rains, it's global warming.
Just go along with it and don't ask questions.

Yes, everyone has heard about global warming by now, but not many actually know the facts.
Scientists say that we are causing global warming with all the fuel we are burning, that it is adding more carbon dioxide to the air. While this is certainly true, what they don't tell us is that all the carbon dioxide we put in the air is only about 3% of what is actually there. The other 97% is put there by natural causes, such as respiration and decomposition.
Also, the earth goes through cycles where it gets a little warmer and then gets a little cooler (like in the Ice Age). This has been happening since the beginning of time, and should not concern anyone.

People are aware of global warming and the affects it is having on the earth. However everyone is so locked into the use of petroleum, and that's where the problem is. Our cars, heating our houses, generating electricity. In the United states alone it would take trillions of dollars to suddenly switchover to an other fuel source.
The sad thing is we have been able to do so for many years. But as with all change it is a slow process . This is not likely the answer you wanted to here. Sorry.
It all boils down to the Economy verses the Ecology of our planet.

I don't think worms will destroy the earth. They're good for the earth.

If you mean "warming", then go tell the sun not to get so hot. We all care, but there's nothing we can do about the sun getting hotter.

Actually I wish it *would* warm up a little. They say it's been going up about one degree every 100 years. I wish we could do something to speed that up, but alas, we're only human.

Did you mean global warming? I don't know about global worming. Yes, I care about global warming and all the other problems inhabitants of Earth have caused to the environment. As for global worming, I'm movin' out because as far as I'm concerned, they are baby snakes and I can't stand 'em!

Yes a lot of people know and care...

But there are just some that think of themselves only..'
Selfish greedy people that believe that they'll long be dead before the mother earth dies.. Not even caring for the next generations to come.

If you did some geo-science research you would see that we are actually still coming out of our last ice age, which is why we still have glaciers and ice. The earth would still be warming if we humans were not here.
