Yes, the performance will be divided by two on average. If you have a T1 line, you won't notice the difference at all, but if you have dial up you might as well not even bother.

Maybe. If they are both receiving or sending at the same time, then yes but on higher speed broadband connection, you'd have to be receiving a lot of info to notice a difference.
For example, if both computers are just browsing the web, doing email, or stuff like that, you probably won't notice it. Even if you're both listening to internet music you may not notice. However, if you both start downloading song at the same time, you could see a difference.

If you have a basic modem you can only have one computer connected but if you got a router type they can but not enough for you to notice if your just surfing the web. I got 2 computer running wired one wireless and to XBO 360 running at the same time with no issues on my router. The only thing is I can't host games if all are going at the same time.

the totasl speed of the connection will be the same, but they will have to share the bandwith. if only one is using th econnection, then you won;t notice anything. if you are using a broadband, then it shouldn't be a big problem, but if its dial up, then you will run into problems.
