Girl help!!!?

Question

There is this my friend and she is so loud and gets all the attention from other girls and she is so mean to me. How can I "over rule" her. I try but she always seems to "over rule" me!! I want to be popular and get attention. Advice and help!!

well if your "friend" is mean to you then she really isn't a true friend. Plus when u are popular it isn't all glamour, when you get what u really want in the end it isn't as great as u though it would be. Its better to be just who U are! I tried to become popular and in the end, not only was it not what i expected it to be, but they all ditched me and i had to make all new friends. My advise find a new friends who don't insult you and treat u like crap. As well to get attention you don't have to go and look all pretty and be loudlike ur friend, do somehting like a big project and make it really cool so that they all remember it!

Well I agree with what the other person said, if she's treating you so badly then it doesn't seem like she's such a great friend. But she could just be absorbed or wrapped up in the situation and being popular. She loves getting attention I suppose and maybe she doesn't realize what she's doing. Just try to tell her, don't compete. And you shouldn't focus on being popular and try to change who you really are: be yourself and do the things you love. People will notice it, be independent and driven and try not to care too much about what other people think. Go your own way. Try to do your own thing, even if that means getting new friends. It may be good for both of you, as it seems like she's already getting new friends of her own.

What kind of friend is MEAN to you? Girl you need to start hanging out with some people who actually can be REAL friends and not use or abuse you in any way.

I had this problem before...my friend was an attention hog and I was always the "side-kicK". But to tell you the truth, everybody will eventually get tired of attention hogs, especially if they're obnoxious. I think the only way to start getting more attention is to be more yourself, and be CONFIDENT in yourself. Don't be that dumb girl in the corner acting like an air-head...I know a lot of guys like that, but in the long run guys like more intelligent girls who still can be fun without trying to snatch everyone's attention. But never, EVER only want to be popular. You'll just be dissappointed if that's what you want. Popularity is so overrated...hang out with people you want to hang out with!

well being 'popular' might not be what you want it to be. Everybody is hatted by some, & loved by some. You just have to accept that people like her. Why are you tryin to 'over rule' your friend?? When somebody i popular its most likely that her friends are popular aswell, so you proberly are popular, you just dont see it! Dont try and 'over rule' your friend, it might ruin your friendship. Youve got to stop and think whats more important, my friend, or being popular? its like saying if your friend was being bullied you wouldnt help her because you might end up getting a beating. I hope you do the right thing

If she is so mean to you, than why is she your friend?
Start haging out with your other friends (without the one friend). Plus, popularity isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Take it from someone who was popular, but chose to be un-popular- the underside of popularity is about as appetizing as elephant poop. Gossip, accusations, the struggle to remain constantly on top- who needs all that emotional stress? School is stressful enough.
