1. Throw about 50 grand at the motor, and MAYBE you'll see 600.
2. Throw another 30 grand for an additional 50 hp.
3. Buy a new trans, the old one has up and died.
4. Buy a new motor, the old one died from over-revving when the trans died.
5. Start again.

That sort of horsepower is undrivable on the road, and engine life is measured on minutes. Honda racing motors don't make that much. There are a few show cars that claim they do, but who knows - they never get driven. And probably a couple of drag racers, who can afford to rebuild their engine after every run. And still don't always get the engine to last for the full 10 seconds or so that it takes the car to do a pass.

if you have to ask, then you probably can't afford it. Just being blunt, sorry.

I do have to argue with some of those below. It is possible, it just takes a bit of coin to do it. I've personally had my hands on the wheel of a 825whp EVO, and an 850whp STi, both had a silly amount of money in them and broke parts like it was going out of style, but it is possible for a little 4 banger to squeak out that many ponies.

here from one site http://www.myspace.com/89032116 the red civic dynos at 826whp and the blue civic at 802whp. watch the top video of the 1100hp mustang running a high 10, then the bottom one of the 800whp civic besting that by almost a second.

I feel bad for the guy with 40+ years wrenching, just looked like an *** eh?

so for the import hating hillbillies, learn a little before you open your hole.

and I say unto thee, boost or die...

i would have to agree 800hp is possible but you will spend allot of money to get there, and if you do drivability is out the window, but your best bet would be stroking an h22,or k20,with lots of boost,i can tell you from experience that's its expensive i own a integra gsr with a fully built b18c,and it makes 501 to the wheels and it is on the verge of being undrivable due to traction and i paid close to 10 grand on the build, installs and tuning, personally all you really need is a number in the mid 300s to have fun and keep up or beat most stufff on the road, but its all in what you want and what you can afford

There are b16 civics out there pushing over 650hp to the wheels which is around 850 at the flywheel. Check out this months issues of Dsport to see a 657whp civic. It ran a 10.13 by the way.

Excuse me I had to stop laughing. With that engine you would be lucky to get 400HP out of it after spending 30 grand. There is only two ways you will get 800HP out of that bucket. You spend about 40 grand for a new engine. Or you sell your bucket and buy a V8 and put about 10-15 grand on the engine.

Try starting with a real car with a real engine. The world is not like the stupid Fand F movies.. Try a twin turbo V6 or better yet get a V8. but your still stuck with your inferior FWD

do you know what is 800HP mean? For a 4 cyl? tubo and NOS not even make it 300HP. if you really wanna get 800HP go get the VIPER 12cyl with twin tubo.

Something completely different. You will never get 800Hp out of that engine.

Without $10,000-$15,000 I couldn't get 800Hp out of my 4.7 liter Magnum V-8

I think it's a typo. He meant 80 hp.
