maybe because a big part of the series is about eragon (and murtaug(?)) inheriting the dragon rider legacy and zarroc. I haven't read them in a while, btw do you know when Empire(?) is comming out? thx

It's not a trilogy anymore :) He's making it into four books. No clue what the name will be, but most people say it'll be Empire (Starts with an E and has 6 letters, just like the other two). God, there's too much that's unresolved to guess the ending yet. ANd I really hope he doesn't end up with Arya, that would ruin her for me. I'm afraid Murtagh will be killed :( he's me favorite. Roran.... I'm just kinda scared he'll do something stupid and get killed (I like him enough, he's just so inexperianced with the whole Varden and Razac thing so far). I'm just waiting for the book, I'm bad with comming up with theroies ^^;; but I like to read others'. What theroies do you have?

we don't really know that for sure yet but i read on one of Christopher P. website once that all the unanswered question is going to be answered in the third book including why the second book is called Eldest. for now just relate all the important details in the two previous books and come up with your own solution.

Because 3 books make up a trilogy. This series has 3 books. You do the math.

Spoilers for book 1 and 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It probably comes from Eragon and murtagh inheriting zarroc and being brothers... on the second to last page of the second to last chapter in the second book, murtagh says I take my inheritance from you, brother, and takes zarroc. but we still have to read book 3 to find out, i am sure there is more to it
