Of course you can. But it depends on the company, they may require a CPA depending on the scope of work or SOX requirements.

You may want to look into getting some special certification if you are looking for a controller job. Like your CMA or something, any extra education you can take that helps you in your career is always noted during the interview process.

You could be a controller without even having a degree, if the employer wanted to allow it. There is no legal requirement for a company's controller to be a CPA.

Of course. Each company sets their own requirements, so it just depends on what they are looking for. Though having a CPA would be a plus for an such upper level position.
