Okay, this is simple.
All you need to think about is, what are my favorite foods/drinks?
for example
Coca-Coke
Frosted Flakes
and lets say Oreos
Okay, so now what makes you think of Coca-Cola? I would say its the red label, whether it says Coca-cola or not, it definetly makes me think of Coca-cola. Frosted Flakes would be the Tiger on the front of the box. There are a few other brands of cereal with tigers as their mascot, but everytime I see a tiger on a box of cereal, I always think "Frosted Flakes". The oreos is just the logo, Oreos. Its very recoginizable, almost everyone knows the Oreo brand of cookie.
For appealing picture...well Cajun Marinade (I forget who makes it) has a picture of an island with a big sun...it always gives me an exotic feeling, and I always want to buy it.
Although I cant name 20 items off the top of my head, I would just write down a list of items I find in my kitchen that have this criteria.
Hope I helped!

It depends. The highest I have seen is $300 and the lowest is $100. Older dogs are less expensive, but the main thing is to get the right dog for you and how you live your live. Someone who works a lot should not get a Jack Russell. Don't get a Border Collie in an apartment. Look at many different dogs until you choose the right one. I am glad you are adopting a puppy as I am a foster dad for a shelter with 9 puppies. But consider an older dog as well. It may be easier to raise and you already know what you are getting.
