My little one didn't like teething rings... we used cold wash cloths, sucking on a paci or his thumb helped him a lot, Tylenol helped but it seemed like it only worked for him if he was dosed around the clock and I wasn't comfortable with that, I also unpeeled a banana and froze it for a couple of hours. He LOVED that!, but make sure you wrap it in a towel or something so your hand doesn't freeze while you hold it!!
Good luck!

Tylenol. Call your doctor for the right dose amount. Teething rings are nice but not all babies like them. I freeze wet washcloths and let my kids chew on those. When your son gets a bit older say 7-9 months (you will have to judge when he is ready for this teething trick) I take a banana and cut it in 3 pieces. Put the pieces on a popsicle stick and stick it in the freezer. When they are teething they can chew on the frozen banana, plus it's a healthy snack. Since it's frozen the banana pieces come off in small chunks. However just in case I wouldn't give your child one of these and walk away, just in case a bigger piece of banana came off. It works with other fruit like melon too. Good luck

Let baby chew on a wet cold washcloth. Use teething toys with liquid in them that you freeze. There is over the counter medications to put on the gums to numb them. They help but taste awful. I've heard of people freezing bagels but I have not tried it. If I did try I'd watch carefully to be sure baby doesn't get chunks off and choke.

Teething rings work really well, also use your finger to massage his gums and let him gnaw on it if that helps. Also letting him chew on a bottle nipple will work. Sometimes doctors say that if they are in a lot of pain based on your doctor they may suggest giving him some Tylenol.

I used a little baby orajel. Also those rings with water in them, just pop them in the freezer and let him chew on it. My daughters favorite thing when she was teething was my knuckle. Just make sure your hands are clean.

Ask the pharmacist for Humpry's 3, it's a natural herb to help w/that. They carry it at Walgreens. Good luck.

teething rings are great, especially the one you pop in the freezer. oragel is good stuff too, but try not to use it too much. tylenol is useful, but only when you are at your wit's end.
