considering the climate of indiana has extremes on both ends, a temperature range of nearly 100 F, blizzards, extreme heat and humidity in the summer, and the fact that the weather can change dramatically within a matter of hours, is it a good idea to make a cob home here?

how big can you make a cob home?

what are the structural limitations?

are the building codes for cob?

You would need to consult with ypur building department.

For info on cob construction, look for it on the Internet. You might look also at Straw House. Lots of straw houses nowadays.

Are you talking about corn cobs??? Because if you are: Are you insane? They would biodegrade, dissolve, whatever you want to call it, way to quick. You probably be able to use sod, used tires, glass bottles, something that does not bio-degrade. And you would want to check with local zoning laws/ rules. Just to be on the SAFE side...
