Basically only the first launch ones were prone to overheating easily...all those have been sold and the new ones don't overheat (unless you put them in closed spaces or on a carpet)...

The older systems get heated up really quckly, the newer ones still heat up but not as fast.

i hear that too when it 1st came out . but i don't think it does anymore.
i have a 360 and hasn't failed yet.
