i totally agree with you. It's just a superficial holiday where the peopel with a guy, or a girl get to feel special and loved, while people without the good bodies, and the people that are more down to earth, feel sad, and lonely. In fact, I was even gonna wear all black to school as a joke LOL

Hallmark didn't do it St. Valentine did. He wrote letters to the one he loved. Do you have anybody you love? Family, friends and co-worker? Valentine's Day is not limited to Boyfriends, husbands etc? Enjoy the rest of the day, and Be thankful for what we have here in the USA. Yahoo and e-bay what more do we need? LOL

well to be honest, when i was younger, i used to hate valentine's day cuz i never got anything, not even a chocolate, but now that im in high school, i have gotten balloons, chocolates, love notes and hugs from the guy i totally love! It's only bad if you're lonely, but you can make it better by going out with your friends, if they have dates, call your cousins, family members, friends that have nothing better to do, to go to the mall, watch movies get chocolates for yourselves or even have a small party!

I've always loved Valentines Day - single or not. It's a chance to tell the people you love just how you feel. I always love telling people happy valentines day - making heart shaped cookies - wearing red - eating a bit of chocolate. I guess you can approach it with a positive attitude - or not. Your choice. Which one feels better in your heart?

Yes, I do agree. I think you should show your love all the time, not just because it's a holiday. Don't feel bad. Anybody can be with a loser. Your special someone is out there waiting for you.

Well, if I were in a relationship, I'd probably like it.
But I went down the candy-heart aisle at Wal-mart a couple of times and it made me so lonely and sad...I ran my finger over those velvet hearts and fluffy bows and I thought, oh, I'll be alone forever and nobody will EVER buy me one of these hearts! NEVER!
Yeah, it sucks. For now, it sucks.

That isn't really the reason it was invented. It is to honor St. Valentine who used to marry people in secret who were not allowed to be wed.
But it does suck if you are alone on the day.

I'm single and I still love it! Valentine's Day is meant to be spent with the people you LOVE. If you're single (like myself) spend it with your family. I bought my parents balloons and cards, and we spent today watching TV (as lame as that sounds). Valentine's Day doesn't have to be a drag unless you choose to make it that way.
