I'm 13, and I really enjoyed the first Sims

But I know that if I get Sims 2 I'll spend WAY TO MUCH TIME playing it. I've been trying to do stuff that's more productive recently, and I know that the Sims won't really improve my life in the long run. I feel as though I shouldn't get it, BUT ID REALLY LIKE TO!!!!!!

What do you think?

The Sims 2 is a huge improvement over the first. Try it over the summer like others have said, and if you find yourself becoming obsessed with it, give the disk to a parent or guardian, until you get tasks done. And don't forget to go outside once and a while! :)

As long as you don't spend all of your time playing video games, it's ok. I don't know if you need to be playing SIMs 2 though, my fiance has it, it's really cool, but I think it is too explicit for a 13 yr old.

If you do get sims 2 you should get the sims 2 pets, that is so much fun. I do think you should get sims 2 because it is a totally fun game. Just force yourself to be more productive and you will be able to do that.

Get it for summer vacation then. Gives you a few months to think it over if you change your mind.
