Someone asked this questions a few days ago and was closed to answers. Someone answered no there were no natural remedies that work---they are dead WRONG!!! I have used Calm Forte for years with great success and no side effects. Insomnia (both by Hylands) on days when I can't seem to shut my mind down or I wake up in middle of night and can't go back to sleep, they melt in your mouth so you don't even have to get out of bed to take them. If you don't have access to a good Health Food Store you can also buy Simply Sleep over the counter it works good too but I tend to feel a little groggy the next day but not as bad as other otc products. You can also put lavender essential oils on a kleenex and put it near you it will help relax you, chamomile tea, valerian, melatonin are also other options you have (all also available at health food store). I have recommended these products to many of my friends and they are helping them so I hope this helps whoever is looking for sleep!!!!

Lime-blossom tea is good for insomnia. I know people who also take KALMS tablets (this is natural, no chemical). Others have a cup of warm milk.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

I like benadryll. I use 1/4 of the typical dose and I start yawning one to two hours later and stay asleep for 4 to 6 hours. You can buy the generic version from Sam's Club for under $4 for 400 25mg. pills. Benadryl is an allergy medicine and the side effect is that it makes you sleepy. There is also melatonin, kava kava, gaba, hops, chamomile tea, scull cap and valarium root that some others use. Also increasing your magnesium intake. Good luck.
