Think about this: Do you have parents who tell you that they love you? Do the other students? Sometimes in life others don't have these things and need some extra attention. Your teacher may know more about her trhan you do. She probably really needs the extra human kindness.

Dear Child, sometimes us adults know things or can see things in the eyes of children. It is possible something bad has happened to this child and needs a little more attention cause something has happened in her /his life. What if your mother, father, grandparents who raised you suddenly were gone. Would not it be good to have someone tell you that they love you everyday. So until you know a little more about how life is,Don't judge what you see without knowing all the story. As you have said, the teacher is nice to all of you. So to answer your question is with a question, What is going on with the student who she tells everyday that she loves her?

It is natural for a teacher to connect better with some students than others, but she should make a concious effort to refrain from showing that especially around other students. If you are bothered by it stay after school and talk to her about it. My guess is that she doesn't even realize she is doing it. If she is doing it conciously she probably doesn't know that it bothers you.

teacher could be saying this because that student gets on her nerves or the teacher knows that the student doesnt hear that stuff enough at home.

maybe the kid is just an angel ............ drop it ... at least you dont suspect anything fishy or get put down....... different people just get treated differently. Your teacher may know that you are getting enough attention and others require more to feel part of class.

yes, she may have a favorite, teachers are human and we all have favorites. As long as she is nice to the whole class, don't worry about it. She may know something about this child you don't and feel sorry for him or her.

Yep.. teacher's pets!!! Don't worry if it not you. maybe she looks like her favourite niece? Who knows? Just do well and she'll respect you as a student and that's what counts.

OF COURSE she has favorites. She's human. Some of you drive her crazy others she wishes were her own. However, it is unprofessional to so obviously display this preference.
