My friend (a guy) is always joking around and asking me if i would go out with him. Then he would be like jUST KIDDING! So i did asked him (as a joke) and he said ok! I don't want to hurt his feelings but I was just kidding

I think that either way, the situation's going to end up awkward, even if it's just a little bit. See how he acts. If he starts treating you differently then you'll know he was serious...if not, he's probably just kidding. Cause you really don't like him that way, you'll just have to make it clear that you're not interested in that way if he wants to get with you. I know it's going to be kind of weird, but tell him that in the future he needs to be more straightforward with you when it comes to that kind of stuff because it's kind of annoying when people just keep joking with you. Because you can never tell the diffrence between "just kidding" and for real anymore...

You know he could be just kidding around with you, but if not then tell him you were just kidding around with him, if he gets hurt tell him to understand that, he does it too, and tell him maybe one day your relationship with him will grow stronger and you two will indeed like each other.
