I already asked this but I worded it badly and people misunderstood.
I'm coming up to 2 years since I passed and I understood that my 6 point allowance would go up to 12.
However I already have 3 points on my licence and someone suggested I would have to go 2 years without getting any more points before I would receive my full allowance of 12.
Which is it?

Within the first 2 years of passing your test , 6 points is your maximum.. When you've held your licence for more than 2 years your maximum points are 12.
Drive carefully and safely. A good driver shouldn't get points !
