the missus reckons red dragon but shes got a soft spot for ed norton, i think manhunter but the soundtracks doing my head in!!

well, I have a soft spot for William Peterson, so I'm biased on Manhunter. But MH was WAY different than the book. Ok, so neither movie was remotely like the book.
RD is more silver screen gloss, while MH is more like the first CSI. But if you really want to know what made Dollarhyde that way, read the book.

Manhunter without a doubt. William Petersen is a far more convincing Will Graham than Ed Norton (and personally I think Petersen is better looking too). Although I prefer Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecktor than his predecessor Brian Cox in Manhunter.

Ive only seen bits of Manhunter, but Ive got to say Red Dragon. Not only for Edward Norton, but Anthony Hopkins aswell. No one does Hannibal Lecter like him.

The book is much better but both films have their good qualities, I liked Manhunter though.

Definitely Manhunter, the "Iron Butterfly" song is brilliant for the end.

haa I have to agree with your wife Ed Norton is soo cool with the tan and the bleached hair he should keep that look instead of going back to dark hair and pasty looking ,But Red dragon was a good film too.
