what's bad is when it not just malfunctions, but self destructs.
7:30 AM - tiny run in hose on the way to work
7:55 AM - button pops off when getting out of the car
9:45 AM - hem begins to sag around mid morning on the way to big meeting
10:04 AM - tiny thread on seam gets pulled by jerk sitting next to you ("here, let me get that thread for you.") and creates a gap
12:20 PM - mustard drips on blouse during lunch
3:05 PM - sweater worn to cover gap and mustard unravels in the coffee room during afternoon break
5:05 PM - heal gets stuck in grate on the way to car and breaks
5:50 PM - get home and discover you left a curler in your hair that morning
