We purchased property that use to be a salvage yard, we have cleaned up everything, except alot of old car tires. They are not on rims, just tires, where can we take them or who could use them? I understand they shred them up and use them to make things out of. Any ideas?

your neibours backyard.

J/K try a local repair shop. they charge you a disposal fee when you dispose tires that are old. Find out what they do with them. Must go to a recycling plant somewhere..

I have heard of go cart tracks taking them before. they use them to line the sides of teh go kart track. just an idea if you need to know they were reused environmentally.

Try calling around to tire repair shops. They will usually take them but u have to pay a fee. That is if its not to many. Or u can try a local dump, again u will have to pay a fee more then likely.

I'm sure that there are recycling centers in your state that would be happy to take those tires off of your hands. Probably, the easiest way to find out is to call your state EPA (environmental protection agency)office.

I bring them to Costco Tire Shop or a Walmart Tire Shop and they have loads and loads of tires there and they usually will just take them so they can properly recycle them.

See if you can locate a land field where they take trash and things like that. They usually take things like that too!
