OK. I'm doing a project about Germany for my english class and since we have assigned partners i was assigned to work with this boy called Julio and my friend Nina is just crazy about him and treats him like he is her boyfriend even though he doesnt even remember her name most of the time. So, since we are in the same class and the teacher gives us an hour to work on the project every day she always walks to were me and Julio work and she just keeps talking and talking and talking distracting Julio from doing his part of the project, she doesnt even know what country her group is working on since she spends all of the time with us. So now tomorow is our last day to work and the project is nowhere near finished and I dont think we will be able to work on it tomorow because Nina will return and keep distracting us adn we will fail english class cuz this project is worth 3 fourths of our grade, how do I get her to shut up and stop distracting us?

I've had this problem before with group members not doing their share of the work, and basically causing more grief than help. What you should do is pull Julio aside and work with him alone on the project. Complete as much as you can on both your parts.

On the day that the project is due, speak to the teacher privately, explaining the situation of Nina being completely unhelpful in the completion of the project. Show that both you and Julio did your part, and that you care about your grade. At this point, honestly, screw Nina. It's every woman for herself sometimes.

(This is exactly WHY I hate group projects, lol.)

tell her before the class that her attention to Julio is costing your group its grade. If you really wanna be mean about it tell her it's hurting Julio's grade, and he's not gonna like that. But only as a final, last resort. Or not at all.

Go to somewhere else to do this project, like public library, and don't let her know. If she ask, tell her you will be at somewhere else (like school library).

You cannot ask her to be silent, because she will think you're rude or up to something. And you could lose this friend.

Tell her that if she really likes him, she would want him to get a good grade in English.

Talk to your friend in private and explain everything very nicely. Tell her, I have to pass this class and blah blah

Sounds like you need to put your foot down and just tell her to go away. Why are you trying to protect her?
