you say that you will try better next time and that you will take a retest to get your grade up. Tell them your sorry and that you will study harder for the next test.

sit them down make sure theyre in a good mood. tell them how you've been trying your best in that class and you studied for a long time. however the teacher made a mistake and told you that the material that was going to be on the test wasn't on it and put harder tests and tell her everyone failed and you got on of the top 3 highest scores in your class :) and tell them your geting an A in the class right now (hopefully) good luck hope they dont hurt you. or thers always an option to not tell them.

I tried i gave it my best...
give a bull**** reason on why you tried (xtra help, all night studyin)
say the upcoming test is going to be easy and i understand what we are doing now...
just some advice that i always use.

I hid my papers under my mattress.
My parents found them some time later... but in the between time, they didn't know.
My paper was on Sir Francis Drake.

That you bombed your test and got an F-. Then promise to work harder and do better. Do not offer lame excuses.

Just be honest. If you try to hide it, they will be more upset when they eventually find out.
