Love friendship and respect are comfortable feelings which make people feel good and carefree but the only thing more inspiring than that is the feeling of hatred and the reason hatred is usually stronger than these comforts is because hatred is usually inspired by things that are deemed as threats to one's security and way of life. If your life has any meaning or value then protecting that takes precedent over all other feelings.

People can take that in a negetive or positive way and see it as a character flaw but I see it as a mere survival tactic.

One Philosopher by the name of Heraclitus believed that good and evil were two notes in harmony. Combination of the opposites results in a whole in which there is harmony.
Love, friendship, and respect do not unite together as how possible as with common hatred would be because they are all on the good side. We need hatred to balance it.

I agree that it reads pessimistically. Once the object of common disdain is dismissed for whatever reason, what do the "united" people have? Love, friendship and respect have the potential to create lasting bonds.
I have far more of a bond with friends of mine who share my disdain for the Yankees, for example. My friendship with them is built on love and respect and transcends how the standings shift over time. Same with my friends who DO like the Yankees.

if we graded our feelings LOVE and HATE comes hand in hand
they are in top of the ladder, love is harder to accomplish its like building creating or erecting things it is a very fastidious process and time consuming
hate is easier to accomplish its like destroying smashing or demolishing things its fast
hate can overcome love faster than other way around
it is easier to vent your anger than to show love
anton chekhov is right there is one universal love
and thousands of pain anguish hopelessness frustration
and they can attach in many forms through creed beliefs
