I was told I only needed to take 1 or 2 pacs of Three-lac for Candida but 5 months later I still have it. On another site they mentioned taking a "therapuetic dose" until the candida is gone. Anybody have any clue how much that is? Thought I was gonna save money & get over this quicker but now I feel scammed.

Systemic candida is actually a myth that has been disproven by medical studies. Only immunocompromised people actually get systemic candida infection. Threelac in Japan is sold as a digestive aid (and it does work for that), it's not actually made to cure "candida." It does help alot with various chronic intestinal problems which people often mistakenly call candida. You should really go to a doctor and find out what's actually wrong with you.

I am also unsure what they might mean by a "therapeutic dose", but it could be that you need to change some other factors to get rid of your Candida.

Depending where you have candida (internal/systemic), skin, oral etc, there are different things that you can do to make sure you get rid of it and that it doesn't come back. For skin infections things like pH are important - more acidic, less alkaline - avoid scented soaps and bubble baths, rinse with a vinegar dilution etc.
For internal candida diet is very important, you really need to ensure you are promoting digestive health.
And for all types of candida certain lifestyle factors can make you more likely to suffer it - stress, certain medications, a diet high in processed food and refined sugars, anti biotics etc.

So while I can't help with the 3 lac, I encourage you to try and find out what underlying causes you might have and start working on those.

One major problem that has been seen a lot lately are built up resistances. When you stop and talk to people in the health food store they can suggest things that you can rotate. A problem with the mindset of getting it to go away quicker is that by the time most people find out they have candida it is pretty much system wide. Any sugar and most carbs need to be cut out to help not feed it. Its cast off is poison to your body and probably has you run down. The things I can remember taking are grapefruit seed oil, candex, three-lac, bromaline, and there have been others. It has taken quite a while to feel like I am alive.

Alternative treatment for Candida would an herb from South America called Jatoba. South American Indians have been using Jatoba for thousands of years to treat Candida. The type to get would be in a tincture (alcohol based) because this herb is a bark from the Jatoba tree.
