4 ? 5 ? 6 or more? I am just gonna begin to start out. Which one is best ? Does it really matter ?

you are best to start with a 4 that is standard and the best on one to learn on.

The bass originally had just 4 strings. That's a good place to start.

If you're just starting out, then 4. Don't bother with five and six string basses until you've gotten the basics.

Start with 4 that's a beginners bass.
5,6 strings are more complex. Switch to those strings when you're like Cliff Burton (R.I.P.)
