I'm looking to buy a new gaming console and I was just wondering which one would be the best to buy. Thanks!

I personally say that you should buy the PS3, because I have the 60 GB PS3. I've been with Sony since the Playstation 1 first came out, so I'm with Sony for life. If you owned a Xbox then I say that you should get the 360, If you owned the PS2 and/or PS1, I say that you should get the PS3. If you owned a PS2 and a Xbox, well, the choice is yours. Yeah, we all know that the PS3 costs more, but consider this: If you buy the $400 Xbox 360 and the $200 HD DVD Player attachment, you have bought a PS3! The PS3 has everything you need built right in. Sony has a bigger, and better game library as well. If you ask me, Sony is a better "Next Generation" game system because of the Sixaxis Motion Sensor controller, which will give you a new gaming experience with PS3 games.( A PS3 game called Lair will be avaliable soon, and you can control the dragon while in flight by just moving the controller in any direction) Buying a 360 will be like buying a updated version of the Xbox with nothing really new, because you will be playing games the same way you were a few years ago. I can also tell you from experience that the PS3 is very quiet. When it's first turned on, you can't even tell that it's on. While playing a game or a DVD, the PS3 gets a little louder, but it isn't that much louder at at all! And don't forget, the PS3 has better graphics! If you want to get more info on the PS3, go to the link below.

Ok to begin with you have to ask yourself does price matter over quality. If the answer is yes than get the 360. If the answer is no then you have to compare. The 360 uses HD disks, wireless controlers, 20 GB is the max amount of space, $60 a year for online gameplay, graphics that are slightly not as good, and good games. The PS3 uses blue ray disks wich can produce better graphics and can hold more info, wireless controlers, wifi wich is wireless connection to the internet (60GB only), 60 or 20 Gb,free online gameplay, sixaxis wich is like motion sensors (for example in one game when an alien jumps on you you just shake the control and the character you are will shake him off),slightly better graphics, and less games out in the moment becuase it came out last year but it still has great games. The 360 that you want is the $400 it plays xbox games as well as 360 games and has more space. There are two versions of PS3 as well a $500 one and a $600 one. Another thing is the 360 comes with a 3 month warranty while the PS3 has a year warranty. Not through the store but through the company that makes the system. Now ask yourself which one sounds better.

Both systems have a 1 year warranty. Originally, the 360 only had a 3 month warranty, but since MS is known for being a copy cat, it decided to extended the warranty from 3 months to 1 year because Sony offered 1 year on the PS3.

It's kind of hard to tell which system is the best because both systems have 1 fatal flaw.

For the PS3, the fatal flaw is it's hubris (ego). Sony believes that it can do no wrong. It relies on the Playstation name too much. It hasn't really done anything to reach out to the gamers. It also hasn't done anything to reach out to the game developers. In the past, Sony used to be really helpful when it came to helping developers understand the PSX and PS2. With this generation, most of the developers have to learn on their own. This attitude might cause developers to make games non-exclusive to the PS3. It's the game exclusives that's going to make or break a system.

For the 360, the fatal flaw is the Japanese market. Unless MS can convince developers to make more A quality RPG for the 360, the 360 is not going to sell well in Japan. Without the Japanese market, MS can't win this generation because there are lots of Japanese companies, and they're going to stick with Sony through thick and thin.

Go for the PS3. $600 seems like a lot just for a system but for the PS3 it is not that bad. This is because the PS3 has a Blu-Ray player in it. If you just buy a Blu-Ray player it will cost you around $1000. The PS3 has better graphics anyway. 360 makes a lot of noise and it always breaks. It cost $60 for online gameplay while the PS3 is TOTALLY FREE. The 360 only could play with four(4) people while the PS3 can play up to 7 people!

I personally love my Xbox 360 because it is easy to use, they have great games, and online play is amazing. My only complaint is noise so if that bothers you you should consider that.
