Go to peoplespharmacy.com and read their columns. They have many simple solutions to everyday problems like this one and might even have a better one?
I just went there. They do, vinegar, Listerine and baby oil.

I haven't heard of this one. Go to the store and buy Head and Shoulders shampoo or another dandruff shampoo rather that running the risk of an allergic reaction to using Listerine Mouthwash on you head.

I would think it would only aggrevate the problem because it has so much alcohol in it.... Menthol on the other hand would be good for dandruff so that would be the only part of the product that would do any good. You can find that in a shampoo rather than a mouthwash.

It will work but has some drawbacks.

Dandruff is a bacterial infection. Listerine is a bacteria killer. So YES you can rid your head of bacteria by washing it in Listerine. But NO because it has so much alcohol in it that your skin will get very dry plus you will have that horrible Listerine smell clinging to your head.

I haven't heard of that, but I know that it's used to remove lice in your hair. It's been tried and tested on people I know.

But do check this reference out (regarding listerine and dandruff). http://www.howtogetridofstuff.com/health/how-to-get-rid-of-dandruff/

I don't know so much about pouring it all over your head! But I do know that it will magickally make them disappear if you are fixing your hair and you see some flakes. Use a Q-tip dunked in a bit of it and swab away. Works best for me on loose flakes that are stuck in my strands.

I have never heard that one. it works great on mosquito bites takes the itch right out.
I do not see it working on dandruff because of the alcohol content. I would think it would dry it out more. But it would not hurt it you

It might but I'm not so sure. I found a 1956 Magazine Article about that theory but that was back then and now is now so I suggest you try something else.
