No you will be fine, Just take your iron supplement like the doc wants you to and you will probably play better than before as you won't be so tired and fatigued any more.

Being anemic will not affect any sports you choose to do. As being anemic is simply having low blood, you may need to rest when you are tired but should not experience any other problems as result. I was anemic when I was much younger, I played basketball, softball and tennis. However, I did find that drinking liquor can be a problem when you have low blood. Otherwise you are good to go, so enjoy life as it is short.

I don't know if being anemic will affect you .. but the iron supplements you might take could affect you in heat .. I play travel softball and a pitcher on my team is anemic .. at nationals she couldn't play very well because her iron supplements and the heat were making her sick.

OMG! i am a cheerleader and i just found out yesturday im anemic! but no it cant affect you. you played all this time with it didnt you??

the biggest thing you might experience is fatigue, get your iron levels up and you might be surprised at how tired you really where. if you take iron supplements you may get constipated and have to cut back on the dosing, but talk to the doctor is that happens
