55mph X 5 h = 275 miles
611 miles - 275 miles = 336 miles
336 miles / 6 h = 56 mph

Fred drives 55 miles for 5 hours, 55 x 5 = 275miles

Remaining distance will be 611 - 275 = 336

So, with 6 hours completing the remaining journey, 336 / 6, which is 56 miles per hour.

56 mph; 5 x 55 = 275
611 - 275 = 336 /6 = 56

56 miles per hour.
distance=speed times time
then you subtract that distance from the total distance.
then you go speed= distance divided by time so the distance you have left divided by 6 hours she drove is your speed
