My roommates and I are connected to a router and I am concerned that they might go through my computer or history through the router. Is this a possibility? One roommate is especially nosy as hell and I'm worried.

Not if you've taken rudimentary precautions. Make sure file/printer sharing are turned off. Make sure all user accounts (especially any administrator accounts) have valid, complex passwords. Make sure no files/folders are network shared (type "net share" from a command prompt. Ignore any $ shares).

Yes it possible if your roommate is a hacker. I highly doubt it. Make sure you are protected and use ccleaner to get rid of internet files.
