They're very loud and keep happening in random spots. We checked outside and there's no fallen ice or anything.

We also noticed a neighbor from down the street checking his roof, we asked him and he was hearing the same things. Could this just be weight from the ice on our roof?

Possibly the ice is melting and shifting around on your roof? It needn't necessarily fall, just the fact that it's there and will be melting can make it shift or creak a few inches. It could also be your roof.. nothing to worry about, it's like how a hammock would make squeaking noises if somebody was rocking around in it.

Could be, but chances are it is the struts of the roof bearing weight and basically shifting or popping. I think of it like your knee cracks when you bend -- no damage, just things kind of realigning with the weight.

sounds like ur rafters r under to much stress....need to remove the extra weight........can cave in the roof...
