I may expect to much from people but most people, even friends act to busy to call or come around. I try to stay in touch with my friends but I feel like I am the one doing most of the calling and wanting to get together, people always talk about how busy they are but my life is just as busy and I still yet find time for them, I feel I am a true blue friend and expect the same, but find it rarely, except if they really need something, they can always find time to call. It makes you just want to stay to yourself, Anoyone else have this problem? And why does it bother me so much? How do I avoid feeling it?

A friendship needs to go both ways. If your current friends do not meet you half way find some that will. If you don't you will end up feeling resentful even more than you do now.

Tell them how you feel. Some people are sometimes so busy with their lives. If you feel they ignored what you just said then maybe find new friends. Friendship is a 2 way street.

Step back a little and look at things. Are you clingy? Do you tend to overstay your welocome. If you can honestly say no to these, then they are probably too busy. Wait and see who calls, then make plans with them, the others will come around eventually, Good Luck!

You may not know the whole story, do they have kids cause that would explain everything, are they students, are they focusing on their career, a new boyfriend or husband. It doesn't matter how often you talk, but what you talk about. And that they are there when you REALLY need them to be.

i have that same problem. thats why i chose not to socialize with anyone. i stay to myself. you seem like a nice, kind, sensitive person and everyone is not like that. you should try gaining friends of the opposite sex. im sure that'll be a good thing!
