I purchased a new monitor a bigger one, but now theres this blue line going down the left side of the screen which didn't happen on my older smaller monitor. I'm pretty sure the line shows up because it was probably the boundary of my old monitor, but how can I get rid of it?

Check the picture adjustment controls on your monitor... You may find that your screen image is slightly offset to the right...
Adjust it to the left, maybe change the size a little so that it fills the screen, and you should be fine

try to alter the resolution of your system via control panel and appearance and settings. A bigger screen means a big resolution. Alos this problem can also be caused by a fault in the lead, ensure it if fully plugged in and screwing in tight.
