I installed it completely, it asked me for the first disk, I put it in, and then it gave me the options of seeing the read me, launching it, or exiting the setup menu. I told it to launch it, and it pulled up the opening Sims 2 image (where you can still see the desktop but it's got a big white thing with Sims 2 written across it), and my computer made a whirring sound, and after a moment it stopped, and I waited a few minutes. Then, when nothing happened, I tried again, and got the same outcome. It's not my computer because it runs just fine with Pets, and I have no custom content installed. I also apparently have nothing wrong, the installer said my copy was up to date. Please help me, I'm so confused! Dx;

Also, I restarted it. o.o My computer being slow wasn't the problem, because I've now been waiting 10 minutes. x)

Don't know what the problem is.

When I installed that game on my system, it worked fine. I did notice that it seems to take forever to start the game, often making me think I didn't start it right. But as you mentioned, you have waited 10 minutes now. If nothing happens, and you can find a number to call, place a call to EA and speak to someone there. They might be able to help. If it's not a Toll free number, try their website at http://www.ea.com and look for the game you purchased.

They also have forums there (I think...) where you might be able to get help from players too. Good Luck. It's an awesome game.
