A force of 100N is applied at tha point in a direction that is 60 to the left of y axis. The x and y components of the force vectors are?

I got Fx= - 50 Fy = 87

Am I right?? Please help thanks!!

Fx=-100*sin(60)
=-87
Fy=100*cos(60)
=50

You had them backwards

Based on your statement the 60 degree angle is between the force vector and the y axis - is that right?

You had them right. sin goes with the y component and cos goes with the x component.
