There are different color palettes in makeup right? Like the earth tones and pastel colors. Are there anymore besides that? What about the color reds? blues? To what palette do they belong to?

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.
Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.
Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?
If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

If you are looking to find what color sceme/pllette looking good on you, keep in mind your skin tone, eye color, buy placing colors to your skin it will display what compliments you. Also, usually the colors that look good on a person they will get alot of compliments wearing those certain colors.
If you have dark skin tones, bright red blush won't blend into your skin, no matter how hard you try to rub it in. And if you're pale, black eyeshadow won't win you any admirers -
Brown eyes: Shades of slate blue, gray, and plum will help brown eyes stand out.
Green eyes: Shades of pink, salmon, mauve, and brownish-pink will help green eyes look even greener.
Blue eyes: Shades of brown, camel, and taupe will help blue eyes appear even bluer.
Choose a blush color that resembles the color on your cheeks after you've exercised. Anything darker than that will look fake. Blush is the one thing you should not have to blend, because if you do, it means it's too bright for your skin.
Spring palette -true perky pastels, mixed with light or medium toned neutrals of white oak or birch or natural pine.
Summer -cool greens, bright fuchsias, colorful splashes of all the richness of summer including cornflower blues, bright pinks and corals, rich turquoise, and naturally energizing bouquet of bright colors.
fall -heavy creams, earthy browns and tans, mid-tone warm tones of sandalwood, chicory, and cinnamon.
winter -contrasts of rich tan, heather gray, Logan green, with splashes of rich red, smooth lavender, white, silver and soft gold.

For red, it can be cool, with blue tones, or warm, with orange tones, so it depends. Blue, generally speaking, though, is a cool color. They're both primary colors, though.
